Care Staff

We currently employ 5 Senior Care Assistants and 16 Care Assistants.

We are extremely proud of our low staff turnover and the majority of our staff have worked with us since we first opened.

Currently of the Care Staff employed, 4 have completed their NVQ Level 3 in Care, 8 have completed their NVQ Level 2 in Care and a further 4 (approximately) are close to completing their NVQ Levels 2 or 3 in Care.

Many of the care staff have attended courses relevant to managing clients with specialised needs I.e. dementia etc.

We also operate our own small “care bank” which can be called upon to provide cover as and when required.

Kitchen

Our Kitchen is Managed by our two senior chefs, Karen Anderson and Paula Milburn, both of whom have been with us for the last 10 years.

Both Chefs are extremely creative and able to cater for a wide range of dietary requirements, producing exceptional home cooked, nutritious and balanced meals.

'We provide nutritious home cooked meals, using only fresh fist grade produce.'

We are regularly commended on for the:*

“Exceptional Standard of our Meals”
“The variety of Meals”
“Our Chef’s ability to cater for, Specific Individual Requests”

* Extracts From Homes Compliments Book
Service Users are regularly consulted by our Chef, regarding changes to the menu and special requests.

Domestic/Laundry Staff

We employ a total of 6 full and part time domestic staff who ensure exceptional, and we believe unparalleled, levels of cleanliness throughout the Home.
We also operate our own on-site laundry which ensures that we are able to provide a personalised laundry service which can cater for the majority of requests received.
Obviously it is occasionally necessary for our clients to utilise external dry cleaning services, which we are happy to arrange and are paid for directly by the client.
As with our other staffing, the majority of our domestic staff have been with us since our company was formed.

Handyman/Driver

The Homes Handyman/Driver is Mr Richard Laidler

Richard a 'Retired Police Officer' is responsible for all routine maintenance* and gardening, and in addition, the Home owns a specially adapted MPV which can carry 7 persons including the driver. (The vehicle is adapted for 1 person travelling by wheelchair)

We are particularly proud of our gardens and grounds and this is in no small part due to Richards's exceptional gardening skills.

* The home operates an annual maintenance program, including compliance with current PAT (Small electrical appliance testing)

The Homes Vehicle is shared with our sister home Springfield Gardens and is used for Residents Outings and Doctors Appointments
