Care Staff
We currently employ 5 Senior Care Assistants and 20 Care Assistants.
We are extremely proud of our low staff turnover and the majority of our
staff have worked with us since we first opened.
Currently
of the Care Staff employed, 9 have completed their NVQ
Level 3 in Care, 14 have completed their NVQ Level 2
in Care and all new team members are close to
completing their NVQ Levels 2 or 3 in Care.
In addition,
2 members of our Senior staff have recently completed
their 2 year N.V.Q. Level IV Supervisory Residential
Management course.
Many of the care staff have attended
courses relevant to managing clients with specialised
needs I.e. dementia etc.
We also operate our own small “care bank” which can be called
upon to provide cover as and when required.
Kitchen
Our kitchen
is Managed by our senior chef, Mrs Lesley Gulliver, who joined us us in 2004.
Our team are extremely
creative and able to cater for a wide range of dietary
requirements, producing exceptional home cooked, nutritious
and balanced meals.
E.g. Diabetic, Low Fat, Reduced Salt, Supplementary etc.
In addition
to Lesley, we also employ two further assistant chef's
and kitchen assistants,

Service Users are regularly consulted by our Chef, regarding changes to
the menu and special requests.
Domestic/Laundry Staff
The Homes Housekeeper is Miss Elizabeth Armstrong who oversees a team
of 5 full and part time domestic staff who ensure exceptional, and we believe
unparalleled, levels of cleanliness throughout the Home.
We also operate our own on-site laundry which ensures that we are able
to provide a personalised laundry service which can cater for the majority
of requests received.
Specialist Cleaning
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide either a dry cleaning service or
certain other specialist cleaning services e.g.. Fine Cashmere, Leather,
suede, sheepskin which must be arranged by the individual.
Handyman/Driver
The Homes
Handyman is responsible for all routine maintenance*
and gardening, and in addition, the Home owns a specially
adapted MPV which can carry 7 persons including the
driver. (The vehicle is adapted for 1 person travelling
by wheelchair)
* The home
operates an annual maintenance program, including compliance
with current PAT (Small electrical appliance testing)
The Homes Vehicle is shared with our sister home Springfield Gardens and
is used for Residents Outings and Doctors Appointments.
